leave you with a late night thought

earlier tonight i broke free from my house prison. currently nashville is basically out of gas. while my car has a decent amount of gas in it, marsh's does not. so now we have to conserve gas in order to allow marsh to get to work everyday this week. we pray our gas crisis is over by the end of the week! anyways, i am locked away in my prison endlessly attempting to find a job before i lose my mind. tonight we were rather low on groceries and since (thank GOD) we finally live in the vicinity of a grocery store we were able to head to the publix! this was the best shopping trip i have ever had! being a vegetarian its difficult to find substantial meals. so tonight i was in search of substantial meals as well as a break from my prison. its not like i sit in my apartment all day, i average about 2 walks a day but still a person really can lose their mind. the best part of the trip is when we found the deli had a fresh sushi section! now as you might have read earlier sushi sucks around here so far. i went easy with a spicy tuna roll with avocado. and what a surprise when i fell in love with it! its funny, in baton rouge sushi from a deli type, like the lsu union, was on the bottom of the totem pole but here i am actually craving it! what a world, but the bottom line is i have finally found some sushi that is decent and worth my time. the best part is its pretty cheap and only 2 minutes away!
after sushi i tried some of my cinnamon raisin toast. delish. while eating the toast, marsh and i got to thinking.
now for the late night thought-

raisins come from dried up grapes right? do the grapes go bad before they turn into raisins because if you bought grapes in the store and they went bad you wouldn't wait for them to turn into raisins would you? the real question is, if they are just dried up grapes why aren't they considered dried grapes. a dried pineapple doesn't go by another name and neither does any other dried piece of fruit. what makes the raisin so special it gets a different label all together? did the idea of dried fruit begin with the grape and they were so excited they opted for a new name. then they realized they could dry all fruit and figured it would be too time consuming to name them all?
hmmmm, its definitely something to think about!
good night!
