after our quick visit to greece we decided to take a break due to the jet leg. after some r&r we decided india would be the next stop on our around the world journey. we dined at sitar indian restaurant downtown. this was marsh's first time trying indian food while i had already sampled it in london. of course i don't remember anything but the naan bread. for dinner we both ordered things we had no clue about with the exception of an order of naan bread placed by me. while marsh scarfed down his dinner, i on the other hand was less indulgent with mine. the naan bread is amazing but the rest of the food seemed to be served up in this orange color sauce.
i could only handle a very tiny portion of the goup. indian food is gonna have to take time for me to really enjoy but marsh had already found himself craving the dish the next day. nothing can compare to sushi, which sucks because so far we have had pretty much zero luck in the nashville sushi tasting. nothing can compare to ichiban. i have already decided that the weekend we decide to visit baton rouge we are eating nothing but sushi in order to wear me out on it. that way i won't be craving any when we come back to no-sushi land. i had high hopes that maybe indian food would become my new passion but i was sourly disappointed. that does not mean i did not enjoy it, i just wasn't entirely overjoyed with it.after india we decide for a trip to italy for some tasty gelato.
at nucci's italian ice we were surprised with not only gelato but italian ice as well. we both went straight for the gelato though. it was quite delicious and a nice end to our journey. we would have stopped in ireland if it wasn't for marsh's ability to be quite stuffed but still continue to eat. oh well, ireland is on the agenda for the next trip around the world. as is mexico and china! hey maybe we will keep it down to only 3 foreign locations at a time. this time we had greece, india, and italy stamped in our passport.needless to say we were quite exhausted from our journey around the world but it was worth it.
i now found myself dreaming of ichiban sushi....sweet sushi dreams.......
