stuffed, 4 times

can you believe we have already made it to thanksgiving? time really does fly by! since this was marsh and my first married thanksgiving together i really wanted to cook! fortunately though we were kindly invited to not one but 2 thanksgiving dinners. we graciously accepted the invites and in turn decided to cook our own dinner wednesday night.
marsh picked out a rotasseire (whatever) chicken for himself, and then together we created the rest of the menu: the original (and marsh's favorite) green bean casserole, roasted garlic mashed potatoes (fancy i know), yummy dinner rolls, and a fresh fruit salad with honey yogurt dressing. we even cut open our very
first pomegranate, which i have to say is by far the coolest fruit ever! technically marsh opened the pomegranate (which he was quite messy with thus the need for an apron, haha!) the dinner turned out great and our smoke alarm only went off once (we have some issues with the smoke alarm going off when we cook dinner, its only directly in front of the stove, what a perfect place for the alarm!) anyways, our first married thanksgiving (awww) turned out wonderful!
the next day, actual thanksgiving day, i woke up to enjoy the macy's thanksgiving day parade. oh yeah, i enjoy parades! it was enjoyable and put me in the spirit of thankgiving!
our first stop was our friend pete's aunt's house. we hung out with his family for awhile & dined on some yummy food! my favorite thing was the sweet potatoes which i just started to like.
our second stop of the day was the house of our bible study leaders. they have a gorgeous home and our super sweet. there was a blend of families there so that made for excitement. i love meeting new people! the dinner was amazing as well and my favorite dish was the carrot souffle (yes you read that right, it was amazing!)
so after 4 thanksgivings, yes 4, we also had one in baton rouge with our friends which was delish as well, i can safely say i am stuffed
and now ready for christmas!!!!
