missing a week of life

as the holiday season begins to settle down and i snuggle up with a blanket after a long day of exploring, i decide to check out my blog. as my brain registered dec 8 as the last post date i found myself reaching for a calendar to see how far back that was. as i study the calendar i am amazed to discover that a whole week went by without giving me much recollection as to what went on. i am stumped. suppose i got caught up in the holiday blur!
anyways, i am back after like a 3 week hiatus.
in the following days be expecting several posts of me updating my life to the world.
that brings me to a story i have been intending to write since it happened.
i believe it was a thursday (probably from the week i seemed to have lost). we got wind that it had snowed in baton rouge for the first time in forever! i lived there for 4 years and never even saw a glimpse of snow. i was teased with a text from trace wishing i could come play in the snow! as much as i am a very self proclaimed summer lover, i would loved to have played in the snow! and then rachel sent me a picture of mike in the snow, oh how i would have loved to see him! he probably felt more at home than ever before!

back in nashville that night, marsh was in the bedroom spending time on his computer. we each have laptop squissy holder things (you can put your laptop on it, hopefully you catch what i am desperately trying to explain here). apparently he was using his while chilling on the bed. as for me i was in the other room. that is until i heard marsh shouting, "its snowing!!!" i was so excited! before getting the chance to put on decent clothes to go outside and grabbing the camera, marsh exclaimed, "its snowing everywhere, outside and inside!"
my reaction was the same as yours now, what??
come to the bedroom, i discover that marsh's laptop buddy thing had exploded. it has 2 buttons and apparently one mysteriously popped off leaving behind a mess. in order to make it squissy, it is filled with tiny, tiny, snowballs (as we called them). these snowballs were not fun! they were all over the bed, floor, not to mention they stuck to anything they touched! meaning we found them all over us for days! weeks later i even discovered a tiny snowball in my suitcase to midland.
so not only did we run outside to enjoy the snow we also had the pleasure of enjoying our own indoor blizzard.
guess we didn't miss the snow since we weren't in baton rouge, we experienced our own!
