if you have noticed the lack of postings from this weekend, the reason would be we were busy busy! saturday we were headed out to the tomato art festival. before we made it there we ran by world market where we picked up 2 barstools. we now have a place to eat! no dining room table for us but there are 2 barstools at our bar. marsh put them together, props to marsh! he did a great job! they are pretty snazzy bar stools. check them out for yourself.
moving on to the delightful tomato festival, we met a few fellow lsu alumni members out at the festival. we walked around, enjoyed the festivities, there was even a man cooking jambalaya! the festival was in east nashville, a super cute area of town. its been known in the past to be a bit rough area but it is slowly building up. it was very historic and adorable. we chilled at rumours wine bar, out on the patio for a bit enjoying a white sangria. then we found that whole foods had a booth there educating us about the tomato. there was a trivia game so of course i was all of over! i made everyone join the team and together we all answered our questions correctly! we won a tomato, along with tomato sauce, paste, and veggie chips! see, you should always join in on a trivia game. i included a picture of my tomato i won, i picked it out all by myself!
the tomato festival's slogan is "a uniter not a divider, bringing together fruits and vegetables"
represent the tomato man! these people were proud of the tomato and for good reason!
so next time you look at a tomato, think to yourself " a uniter not a divider"
