a florida christmas

a florida christmas was a christmas like no other. it was in the 80s the entire week! i was able to shed all the sweaters and jackets for shorts again! yay! i am a self declared summer girl, i could totally live without the winter!
oh and did i mention i was sick?
awfully sick. apparently i caught a sinus infection while on my out of midland. my mom came down with the same symptoms as well. merry christmas! while it was only a sinus infection it was a rough one. i use to get sinus all the time growing up but i guess i grew out of them. i haven't had one in forever and man oh man it was rough. during the drive to florida i seriously contemplated drilling a hole in my head to release the pressure. (*side note, u can actually drill a hole in your head, saw it on an episode of house) luckily my head didn't explode on the way to florida or even while i was in florida! i still have a head!

it was nice to see marsh's family. his mom, dad, sister, and grandparents were there. i felt horrible for being sick but it wasn't my fault. i loaded up on medicine and worked hard at attempting to feel better. it actually worked at times!
after we opened our presents, his dad revealed the big present for all of us. a trip to disney world (or epcot)! i felt like we were on a game show and the host just said, "and you just won a trip to disney world!" (imagine it in a game show host voice, makes the experience much better)
so the next day we all rolled down to orlando to go to epcot. we were able to travel the world in less than one day! mexico, norway, italy, japan, china, the list goes on.
the best thing happened in japan. i have always wanted to pick out an oyster to find a pearl. i just remember someone telling me about that when i was younger and ever since then i have had the desire to do so. in japan, they had an oyster set up. it was so exciting! i got to pick out the oyster i wanted and then the lady cracked it open. she searched for my pearl and then violia! a pearl appeared! yay! its a crazy thing. this oyster looks so gross but a gorgeous pearl sits embedded inside. how cool?
there's one goal accomplished! i wonder how many other goals i can accomplish
this year? it is a new year, anything can happen!
anyways, a florida chrismas went well. apparently oranges grow best in the winter so we loaded up with a bag full of oranges ready to be squeezed into fresh juice when we got home! yum!
